Because an accident involving a truck is more likely to cause significant damage to all the motor vehicles involved, the need for truck drivers to pay the utmost attention when driving is obvious. These truck accidents are also more likely to cause not just more damage, but also significant injuries, should a small car end up being the other vehicle involved in an accident with a truck. Victims who have been involved in truck accidents, and who do not know what to do or how to begin to recover for the damages caused, should turn to an experienced truck accident lawyer or personal injury attorney specialist at our Boston, Massachusetts law firm to help guide them through this complicated litigation process.
One person was killed, and three others injured, in a fiery crash involving a big rig early Tuesday morning in Missouri. A Honda Accord caught on fire after being rear-ended during a collision with a tractor-trailer. Authorities said the big rig simply couldn’t stop in time. Five other vehicles were involved in the accident. Flames and smoke could be seen for miles in the area of the crash. Three people, including an infant, were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. One man, the driver of the Accord, died as a result of the accident. The driver was identified only as a man in his 30s.
Firefighters rushed to the scene of the fatal motor vehicle accident. They extinguished the fire but there was heavy damage to the truck’s cab and the vehicle it struck. Other vehicles involved in the crash also had major damage. A witness at the scene claimed another vehicle was swerving through lanes and that this might have caused the Accord to cut off the semi-truck.
