Blown Tire Causes Mack Dump Truck To Flip And Land On Its Side.

The sheer size of trucks and the speed that trucks travel at now on highways and interstates means they have the potential to do a significant amount of damage in an instant. They can cause much more damage than if a car or a motorcycle was involved in a similar accident going at the same rate of speed. That is why victims who are involved in truck accidents, and who do not know what to do or how to begin to recover for the damages caused, should turn to an experienced truck accident personal injury lawyer specialist at the Law Offices of Gilbert R. Hoy Jr. and Affiliates to help guide them through this complicated litigation process.

A one vehicle accident closed two lanes of traffic on Interstate 690, near Syracuse, New York, Thursday morning.  The truck accident occurred shortly before 10:00 am in the town of Geddes, New York. A 1995 Mack dump truck, being driven by Darin R. Brazie, 48 years-old, of Fayetteville, New York, was traveling westbound on I-690 when a blown front tire caused the vehicle to strike a guardrail and roll on its side. Mr. Brazie was transported to the Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse for evaluation. The state police were assisted at the scene by the agency’s Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit and the state Department of Environmental Conservation’s Emergency Spill Response Unit.
