Three recent cases that together amounted to almost $50 million in settlements illustrate the extent of some truck accident injuries. After 24 year old Caelen Peshek, of Cook County, Illinois, was hit by a truck and dragged for 60 feet, she secured a record settlement of $35 million with the truck company. Connecticut man Schley Hunter also received a large settlement after being hit by a truck when the driver fell asleep at the wheel.
